Learning To Say Yes

In order to make memories, you have to actually do things! Travelling, day trips, evenings out - it's all part of living a better life and making some new and unique memories.

This means you have to say yes.

And it's scary, of course it is! But that's another experience you can use in your writing.

You might also use the excuse "I'm busy", after all, not many people have the luxury of being a full-time author. But busy is an excuse - you don't work 24/7. You just have to learn to be more open minded and use your time more carefully. Instead of staying in for the evening and watching tv, go out to the park and watch the sun set, look up what events are going on around you, book some time off and take a holiday with your friends.

The more things you do, not only the more you'll have to write about, but the more satisfied you'll be in general.

Not only that, but be aware of what's going on around you. I follow pages such as Time Out London and Secret London on Facebook to keep up to date with short-term events and days out. You can also follow the pages of local universities as they tend to also put on some open or family events you can attend.

The best time to make memories is now, not "soon". In my next post, I'll be talking about how to make your memories last.

Happy writing!
