Next, we'll be looking at the actual changes you make to your writing. By now you should have reread your work multiple times and be aware of some of the bigger, and smaller, changes that need to be made.
Generally, writers go through a few major redrafts of their work, as well as lots of minor redrafts. This is especially applicable to longer pieces of writing, and these will require a lot more work. The redrafting process should begin before you even start putting pen to paper - you don't just blindly go with the first idea you think of.
In the coming days, I'm going to be talking to you about why redrafting is important, why it isn't a bad thing, and how to do it well. Redrafting doesn't mean you're admitting to your work being 'bad', instead it gives you an opportunity to develop certain things, change your plot and help your characters come across more effectively.
Happy writing!
